Maintenance Tech I
ORGANIZATIONAL STRUCTURE
BUSINESS: A&D Valves – Industrial Valves Americas
LOCATION: Tampa, FL
DIRECT REPORTING: Sr. EHS & Facilities Manager
POSITION DETAILS
Position Summary
General maintenance and repair to maintain machines, mechanical equipment, and the facility. Equipment includes CNC & Manual Mills and Lathes. This role will also participate and coordinate efforts to maintain the facility interior and exterior, work on plumbing, electrical, and air-conditioning and heating systems.
Principal Activities
- In coordination with operations, perform routine checks, inspections, and maintenance tasks to machines to prevent breakdowns and ensure optimal performance.
- Troubleshooting basic issues. Identify and resolve simple issues with building systems and equipment, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and mechanical systems.
- Perform general maintenance tasks, such as painting, drywall repair, and changing filters, bulbs, and switches.
- Execute work orders and complete projects efficiently and effectively.
- Operate and maintain a variety of tools and equipment, including power tools, hand tools, and test equipment.
- Keep track of maintenance activities, inventory and work orders.
- Building security for fire and access.
- Adhere to safety protocols and procedures, and ensure a safe working environment for self, team members and affected occupants.
- Coordinate with EHS for closure of safety related work orders
- Communicate effectively with supervisors, colleagues, and building occupants regarding maintenance needs and issues.
- Participate in all required EHS, HR & Facilities related training.
- Other duties as assigned.

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Understanding of basic mechanical, electrical, and plumbing principles.
- Ability to identify and diagnose problems effectively.
(Troubleshooting skills) - Ability to use hand tools and equipment effectively
- Understanding of mechanical principles and how equipment works.
- Ability to manage time, prioritize tasks, and maintain records.
- Good Verbal and Written skills to communicate effectively with supervisors, colleagues and building occupants, including vendors.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, such as lifting and climbing.
- Independent thinking and decision making.
- Ability to use a computer to access information, log work, maintain records.
- Ability to work during non-standard work hours when the need arises
- OSHA 10-hour General Industry Certification preferred
Education & Experience
- 1 to 2 years of experience and responsibility in an industrial maintenance field
- HS Diploma/GED or equivalent
