Position Summary
The Quality Engineer partners with operations personnel and management to enhance and improve the company's quality management systems, processes, and practices to ensure our products and services are recognized by customers as having world-class quality, reliability, and perceived value, while also responding effectively to improve customers satisfaction.
This position reports to the Senior Quality Manager
According to the FLSA (Fair Labor Standards Act), this position is classified as full-time exempt.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Support maintenance of all quality processes and related documentation necessary for ISO compliance
- Identify gaps in the quality management system and recommend changes
- Collect and report field failure data and production yield data
- Utilize corrective action system to document and drive corrective and preventative actions
- Resolve issues identified by the incoming inspection function and provide timely supplier performance data to management and suppliers
- Resolve issues identified by the final inspection function and provide timely production performance data to the production group and management
- Support resolution of customer quality problems, implementation of corrective actions, customer audits, and response to customer inquiries
- Perform audits of the company's quality management system and process controls and provide recommendations to management as appropriate regarding any deficiencies including ESD and Shelf-Life audits
- Develop product quality plans and related production assembly and inspection procedures assuring that product quality/reliability goals are met
- Support training of personnel on quality procedures and methods including root cause analysis and corrective actions
- Support continuous improvement projects and support calibration system maintenance.

Required
- Ability to maintain a full time schedule
- 4 year technical degree with 3-8 years experience working in an electronics or electromechanical manufacturing environment
- Working knowledge of and ability to perform internal auditing of a quality management system
- Demonstrated experience in quality analytics with proficiency in Microsoft applications
- Demonstrated experience interacting with suppliers and customers.
Preferred
- Capacity to deal with a high workload and deadline pressure
- Initiative and proactive nature to problem resolution.

This job description reflects management’s assignment of key responsibilities; it does not prescribe or restrict the tasks that may be assigned.
The salary range is $72,000 - $90,000 per year. The Senior Quality Manager will determine the final starting wage (within the salary range) based on the successful applicant's qualifications.
