Who we are looking for
Circuit Media is seeking a Senior Contract Specialist to serve one of our federal government clients. This individual will get to work with the Bureau of Land Management (BLM). This position will be primarily remote. If this sounds exciting to you, check out the job details below!
Key Responsibilities
- Performing recurring or developmental assignments involving formal advertising or basic negotiation procedures; analyzing contract provisions and recommending termination or modification of purchase orders and/or contracts; investigating complaints by reconstructing and reconciling incomplete information.
- As a Government Contracts Specialist, you will be responsible for a diverse range of tasks, from pre-award through post-award functions for a variety of health-related, regulatory, or human services programs within the organization, to providing guidance to technical personnel involved in the development of the statement of work or data requirements. This role offers a unique opportunity to perform cost/price analysis, plan and conduct negotiations, and assemble and prepare all documentation necessary to support the negotiation and award of the contract.
- Reviews the request for procurement and communicates with program personnel to ensure all information is clearly outlined in the request; prepares solicitation documents that incorporate required Federal Acquisition Regulations and departmental policies and provisions; plans and negotiates on price, technical requirements, and terms/conditions of the contract; maintains the up-to-date status of deliverables, invoices, and other activities under the contract; prepares final decisions within delegated authority on disputes and claims from contractor(s); debriefing unsuccessful bidders.
Qualifications
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent verbal/written communication and presentation skills.
- Extreme attention to detail, which special project successes can demonstrate.
Minimum Requirements
- A minimum of five years of federal acquisition and/or contracting experience
- Experienced with Microsoft Office Suite, including Teams.
- Federal Acquisition experience and must possess a valid FAC-C Level I certification (or DAWIA equivalent).
Preferred
- Experience with federal acquisition and contracting platforms such as PRISM.
- A current or active clearance or public trust.

Salary Range: $70,000-$85,000 annually. Dependent on relevant experience, knowledge, and performance.
