Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Assistant Project Manager to manage and oversee construction projects at COTA. This is a full-time, on-site role that will serve as the primary liaison between COTA ownership and contractors, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Requirements:Requirements & Essential Functions:
- Act as the on-site representative for ownership, ensuring project goals and objectives are met.
- Oversee and coordinate construction activities, including contractor performance, scheduling, and compliance with design specifications.
- Work closely with architects, engineers, contractors, and internal stakeholders.
- Review contracts, change orders, budgets, and invoices, ensuring cost control and financial oversight.
- Monitor progress, troubleshoot issues, and proactively resolve conflicts to keep projects on track.
- Ensure compliance with local building codes, safety regulations, and COTA’s operational needs.
- Provide regular project updates, reports, and recommendations to senior leadership.
- Assist in procurement, bidding, and vendor selection processes.

Required Qualifications:
Experience: 3 years in construction management, project management, or as an owner’s representative. Experience in hospitality, sports venues, or large-scale infrastructure projects is a plus.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in construction management, civil engineering, architecture, or a related field preferred. Equivalent experience will be considered.
- Skills: Strong negotiation, problem-solving, and communication skills. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with construction contracts, permitting, scheduling software (Bluebeam, Microsoft Office), and budgeting.
Physical Demand & Work Environments:
- Ability to stand, sit, use of hands to handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms.
- Ability to lift and/ or move up to 25 pounds.
- Ability to squat, bend, twist, push/pull.
- Ability to stand/walk for long periods.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and distance vision.
- Work in extreme environments outdoors throughout the year.
- The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate but can be loud during events.
