Domestic Violence Advocate English/Spanish
Circulo de la Hispanidad seeks a bilingual English/Spanish social worker/case worker to work with victims of domestic violence.
Ideal candidates are bilingual, self-starters with an ability to engage and support individuals who have experienced trauma
The candidate must adhere to confidentiality laws and maintain accurate reports for services conducted.
Responsibilities include:
Facilitate client crisis intervention, and provide support in other situations that require immediate attention.
Facilitate and coordinate individual and supportive advocacy and case management to assist clients.
Educate clients about resources and services available to them to help them build independence and sustainability.
Prepare reports to document work performed per guidelines.
Facilitate a support group for survivors of violence.
Additional responsibilities as deemed necessary to support Círculo’s domestic violence department and the agency as a whole.
Salary is commensurate with experience and education.
Requirements:
A valid driver’s license is required. Reimbursement for mileage is provided.
Bilingual English/Spanish
Knowledgeable of community resources
Ability to work independently and as team
Experience and education in the field of human services
Master’s degree in social work or human services preferred.
