We have been retained by our client for a Engineering Manager search located near Pittsburgh, PA. Reporting to the VP of Engineering, the Engineering Manager will be responsible for the coordination and utilization of both equipment and human resources to ensure a safe and efficient work environment. This Manager will also be expected to find opportunities for building production processes, continuous improvement, building and maintaining employee relations, and the overall increase of operations efficiency.
Responsibilities :
- Lead and mentor the engineering team to develop best practices in identifying, troubleshooting and resolving all types of process / production issues
- Develop methods, processes, and procedures that will improve processes, eliminate failures and reduce manufacturing costs
- Determine long-term company objectives in terms of production metrics and action plans to achieve those strategic goals
- Work in conjunction with other departments including operations, marketing, and product development to ensure company needs are being met
- Lead efforts in testing, installing, and commissioning manufacturing assembly lines for new products
- Oversee team members while still contributing to continuous improvement at the site
