What is this role?
We are looking for a highly skilled Director of Sales Planning & Operations. This role requires a strong technical background in sales planning and forecasting, EDI, inventory optimization, and overall sales analytics. The Director will oversee a team ensuring alignment between sales operations and overall business objectives.
What does an average day look like?
- Driving Results:
- Develop and implement sales planning strategies that optimize inventory levels, improve forecast accuracy, and drive sales performance.
- Lead and partner with cross-functional partners to develop a consumer “Demand Driven” forecast.
- Taking Ownership: Manage the sales planning process end-to-end, ensuring that all operations are executed efficiently and effectively.
- Making Decisions: Utilize advanced analytics and forecasting techniques to make data-driven decisions that support sales growth and operational excellence.
- Cultivating Relationships: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, finance, manufacturing and supply chain, to ensure alignment and achieve shared goals.
- Instilling Trust: Build credibility within the organization by delivering on commitments and providing transparent insights and recommendations.
- Customer Focus:
- Maintain a strong understanding of customer needs and market dynamics to drive continuous improvement in sales planning processes.
- Develop and leverage Customer specific platforms to create events that drive ROI for the Cirkul and its Consumers.
What background should you have?
- Extensive experience in sales planning and operations within a consumer goods or beverage industry.
- Strong technical expertise in EDI, inventory optimization, and analytics.
- Proven ability to lead and develop teams, fostering a culture of high performance and accountability.
- Exceptional analytical skills with a strong aptitude for forecasting and data interpretation.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively across departments.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field; MBA preferred.
