What is this role?
As the Production Planner for Cirkul, you will play a key role in continuous improvement of all aspects of the production planning and inventory production systems. The Production Planner is responsible for daily production plans for multiple product categories. The Production Planner will work closely with Operations, Planning, and Sales to ensure products are available when needed for customer shipments. They will also work closely with production clerks and inventory teams to ensure inventory gets correctly reconciled in the system.
What does an average day look like?
- Driving Results: Review inventory and build daily, weekly, monthly production plans that manage the right mix between Retail and Direct to Consumer on hand levels. Create daily production targets and goals and downtime priority plans for spot outages.
- Taking Ownership: Daily, weekly, and monthly S&OP review of appropriate stocking levels available across all levels (Raw Materials, Pack Materials, WIP, and Finished Goods) for multiple facilities. Complete cycle counts and daily follow ups until inventory risk is eliminated.
- Making Decisions: Create long range capacity plans in conjunction with finance, sales, and other manufacturing functions. Identify and present risk scenarios on a monthly basis. Ensure new product introductions are planned and meet marketing and product launch deadlines.
- Cultivating Relationships: Develop and maintain production scorecards and be able to communicate results accurately.
- Instilling Trust: Work with production managers and plant managers on scheduling processes and scheduling adherence that meets operational requirements and customer needs.
- Customer Focus: Work with production planners and operations to create daily, weekly, monthly production plans that ensures a 99.5% OTIF across multiple Cirkul locations. Develop strong working relationships with internal customers.

- Fluent in production planning best practices
- Expertise in spreadsheets, database, and ERP software
