In this pivotal role, the Stage Manager will:
· Provide support to artists and artistic staff;
· Act as liaison between artistic and technical staff;
· Prepare show lineup and communicate changes to the appropriate technical departments and artists;
· Call the show on regular rotation;
· Manage rehearsals and training sessions;
· Ensure all equipment is in place and in working order for rehearsals and training sessions;
· Assist in the preparation of long and short term schedules;
· Manage backstage areas during show;
· Manage integration of new artists into production;
· Enforce production rules, policies and procedures; apply discipline when requested;
· Assist in the preparation and implementation of safety procedures;
· Call technical cues for trainings;
· Apply, facilitate and supervise emergency measures;
· Maintain the show’s records and procedures;
· Manage archival recordings;
· Perform any other duties as assigned by the Artistic Director and General Stage Manager.
The ideal candidate will bring:
· Must have a college diploma or equivalent in Stage Management or a related field;
· Must have a minimum of 4 years relevant theatrical or circus stage management experience;
· Fluency in English written and spoken; Knowledge of other languages is an asset;
· Must have excellent communication and people skills, including cross-cultural awareness, team leadership, and working in a fast paced challenging environment;
· Must have working knowledge of MS Office;
· Experience working on large-scale productions is a plus;
· First Aide/CPR training an asset;
· Understanding and ability to navigate network applications;
· Ability to work in USA.
