Purpose:
The Precision Electronics Assembler is responsible to ensure that electronic components and devices are assembled accurately and efficiently, meeting strict technical specifications and quality standards. This role is vital for maintaining the efficiency and quality of production, supporting the overall operational success of the organization.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform electronics assembly tasks, including soldering, wiring, and component placement.
- Assemble electronic components and systems with high precision and accuracy.
- Utilize a variety of hand tools, power tools, and specialized machinery to assemble electronic components.
- Understand and follow detailed schematics, blueprints, and technical orders to determine the correct assembly process.
- Perform quality inspections on assembled products to ensure they meet specifications.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to improve manufacturing processes.
- Keep detailed records of production processes, including any issues encountered and the steps taken to resolve them.
- Work closely with engineering and quality assurance teams to optimize assembly processes and product quality.
Position Requirements:
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; post-secondary training in mechanical or electronics assembly is advantageous.
- Prior experience in precision assembly or a similar role in the manufacturing industry.
- Strong understanding of electronic components, circuits, and assembly techniques.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination, attention to detail, and the ability to read and interpret technical documents.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot electronic assemblies.
- Good communication skills and ability to follow instructions.
- Proficiency in soldering electronic components with precision and accuracy.
Physical Requirements
- Physical demands: Regularly lift 35 pounds and use of hand and wrists when typing information on keyboard. Must be able to twist, reach overhead, crawl, stoop, and bend to the floor. Occasionally lift 50 pounds.
- Visual accommodation: Must be able to read written materials and instructions.
- Working conditions: Employee works in a clean environment with little exposure to fumes and dust. Work may occasionally be performed in a manufacturing type environment.
