What are the responsibilities and job description for the Terminal Operations Supervisor position at Cirro Global?
I. Fleet Performance Management
Tracking Fleet Performance
- Regularly collect and analyze delivery data of DSP fleets, including but not limited to daily delivery volume, on-time delivery rate, vehicle utilization rate, and customer satisfaction. Utilize data visualization tools (such as reports and charts) to intuitively present the fleet's operational status and identify potential issues in a timely manner.
- Maintain close communication with the fleet to gain a deep understanding of various factors affecting performance, such as road conditions, vehicle breakdowns, and driver working conditions, in order to accurately assess fleet performance.
Optimizing Delivery Efficiency
- Based on data analysis, identify bottlenecks in the delivery process, such as long loading/unloading times or inefficient delivery routes. Develop targeted optimization plans. For example, introduce advanced loading/unloading equipment to reduce time, and use intelligent delivery systems to plan the shortest routes, minimizing empty vehicle mileage.
- Continuously track the implementation of optimization measures and dynamically adjust them according to actual conditions to ensure continuous improvement in delivery efficiency and reduced operating costs.
Ensuring High Service Standards
- Establish strict service standards and guidelines covering driver service attitude, cargo packaging and protection, and delivery time accuracy, requiring the fleet to strictly comply.
- Create a customer feedback mechanism to promptly collect opinions and suggestions on delivery services, and quickly respond to and properly handle customer complaints. Continuously improve service quality to enhance customer satisfaction.
II. Pricing Strategy Development
Market Research
- Conduct in-depth studies of logistics market dynamics, focusing on competitors' pricing strategies, service features, and changes in market share. Regularly collect relevant market information, including industry price indices and fluctuations in transportation costs, to provide data support for pricing.
- Analyze the supply and demand relationships in different regions and business types (such as intra-city delivery and long-distance transportation), predict price trends, and take the initiative in market pricing.
Team Collaboration and Plan Development
- Work closely with sales, procurement, finance, and other departments to comprehensively consider company costs, profit targets, and customer budgets. Develop competitive pricing plans together. For example, collaborate with the procurement department to optimize transportation cost structures and work with the finance department to calculate cost and profit margins. Ensure that pricing is in line with market conditions while safeguarding company interests.
- Provide personalized and diverse cooperation plans based on specific customer needs and business characteristics, such as customized delivery service packages and flexible billing models, to meet the differentiated needs of different customers and increase their willingness to cooperate.
III. Route Adjustment and Planning
Cargo Volume and Demand Analysis
- Continuously monitor changes in cargo volume in different regions and time periods, and combine market research results to predict future cargo volume trends. At the same time, gain a deep understanding of customers' business development plans and promotional activities to accurately grasp changes in customer needs.
- Use big data analysis tools to deeply mine cargo volume data and customer demand information, identifying key information such as high-volume areas and peak demand times to provide a basis for route planning.
Precise Design of Delivery Routes
- Based on the analysis of cargo volume and demand, use professional route planning software in combination with GIS data. Consider factors such as road conditions, traffic restrictions, and delivery time requirements to precisely design delivery routes. Ensure the shortest route, shortest delivery time, and lowest cost while meeting customers' special delivery time requirements.
- Regularly evaluate and optimize delivery routes, and adjust them in a timely manner according to actual conditions (such as new road construction or changes in traffic restrictions) to maintain the efficient operation of the delivery network.
IV. Satellite Warehouse Site Selection and Resource Sourcing
Satellite Warehouse Site Selection
- In line with the company's business layout and market expansion strategy, analyze factors such as logistics demand, transportation convenience, land resources, and surrounding supporting facilities in the target area. Use scientific site selection models to screen out potential satellite warehouse locations.
- Conduct on-site inspections of candidate locations to assess key factors such as rental costs, expandability, and distance to main delivery areas. Considering the company's long-term development needs, determine the final satellite warehouse site selection plan to improve the warehousing and delivery network and enhance delivery efficiency and service coverage.
Resource Sourcing
- Actively expand warehousing resource channels and establish cooperative relationships with various warehousing suppliers, including traditional warehouse operators, logistics parks, and idle factories, to widely collect warehousing resource information.
- Evaluate potential warehousing resources, focusing on facility conditions, service quality, and price competitiveness. Negotiate to obtain the most favorable cooperation terms to provide sufficient resource support for the construction and operation of the company's satellite warehouses and reduce warehousing costs.
V. Assessment Rule Development Responding to Market Changes
- Closely monitor changes in the logistics market environment, such as policy and regulatory adjustments, updates to industry standards, and upgrades in customer needs. Analyze their impact on company operations in a timely manner to ensure that assessment rules can adapt to market changes and guide the department's work direction in line with market trends.
- Regularly adjust assessment indicators and weights according to market changes. For example, when market competition intensifies and customers demand higher delivery efficiency, increase the weight of timeliness indicators such as on-time delivery rate to encourage the team to focus more on delivery efficiency.
Performance Assessment System Design
- Develop a transparent and fair performance assessment system with clear definitions, calculation methods, and scoring criteria for each assessment indicator to ensure an open, fair, and quantifiable assessment process. Assessment indicators should cover fleet performance, pricing strategy implementation, route planning rationality, satellite warehouse operational efficiency, and other aspects to comprehensively reflect the department's work outcomes.
- Establish a performance feedback mechanism to regularly announce assessment results to employees. Recognize and reward outstanding performance, and provide suggestions for improvement on areas that need enhancement. This will motivate employees to continuously improve their work performance and drive the overall development of the department.
