Job Description
We are seeking a Property Accountant for Residential that will be responsible for reconciling the account balances and bank statements, maintaining a general ledger and preparing month-end close procedures at our corporate office in Woodland Hills, CA.
Essential duties and responsibilities
- Verify and reconcile accounts payable and accounts receivable – per property
- Analyze financial information and summarize financial status – per property
- Prepare financial statements in accordance with our established schedule
- Conduct monthly and quarterly account reconciliations to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance
- Review all inter-company transactions
- Assist with property audits
- Support month-end and year-end close process
Qualifications
- Extensive knowledge of general financial accounting and cost accounting.
- Understanding of and ability to adhere to generally accepted accounting principles.
- Highly proficient with accounting software.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
Education
- 4-year degree (Bachelors) in Accounting, Business Admin, or related field
- 1 - 3 years of experience in property management (RESIDENTIAL) accounting preferred
- RealPage Software experience (Preferred not Required)
Additional Information
Schedule: Monday - Friday (9am - 6pm)
Pay: $62,000
