ABOUT THE JOB
As the Director, Certified Preowned in Knoxville, TN you will be responsible for creating and executing all aspects of Cirrus’ trade-in and Certified Preowned (CPO) program. Main responsibilities include the ownership of overall CPO program strategy and the remarketing of used Cirrus airplanes. Major components of this strategy include developing and enhancing scalable processes to evaluate, inspect, upgrade, market, sell, and administrate the sale of preowned aircraft in support of Cirrus’ goal to grow aviation through new and preowned aircraft ownership.
The ideal candidate has a deep understanding of remarketing processes and channels including pricing strategies, preowned aircraft sales operations, maintenance requirements, inventory management, and associated logistics and administration. Experience with eCommerce or in a direct-to-consumer model are highly desired. This role provides leadership to the preowned sales team including sales director and administrators. This is a rare opportunity to build an exciting program within a dynamic, world-class General Aviation organization.
Duties and Responsibilities/Essential Functions
- Coordinate and perform the tactical day-to-day activities necessary to ensure optimum performance of the CPO business plan including attaining monthly, quarterly and annual CPO sales and objectives
- Perform aircraft appraisals and coordinate pre-buy inspections of aircraft
- Coordinate and plan with Service teams for timely aircraft refurbishment
- Ensure the proper planning, marketing, and care of CPO aircraft in inventory
- Perform secondary market analysis on a regular basis and inform team members on key metrics that are relevant to the overall business
- Participate in sales-related activities including meetings, events, and demo flights
- Develop and share best practices among sales team members to improve CPO program adoption and performance
- Continuous improvement of processes, and systems integration of CPO Program
- Work cross-functionally with proper communication and collaboratively with other teams
Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree, master’s degree preferred
- Minimum 5 years of senior level B2B or B2C sales experience, preferably in aviation or related industry
- Experienced business leader with extensive sales and sales leadership experience
- Strong program management and cross-functional leadership experience required
- Regular, reliable, and predictable attendance.
- Travel requirements estimated at 10%, including the need to travel internationally.
- Company vehicle driving requirements estimated at 10%; must have valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
