Job Summary
Detool Technicians unload ovens into the Detool department, de-bag, drill primary tooling holes, and detool parts from layup molds without damaging parts or tools. Identify parts to maintain traceability and process paperwork/buyoffs promptly. Technicians remove excess resin flashing, tape, and debris from the mold's surface. Clean and degrease the molds with a chemical solvent and apply a release agent before returning them to production.
Schedule: Hours for this position are Monday - Thursday; 3:30pm - 2:00am. A 10$ shift differential will be added to the base pay for this shift.

Duties And Responsibilities/Essential Functions
- Proficient in ODMP Technician II duties plus
- Leads new developments and concepts for functional areas
- Proficient in running ovens and autoclave, can de-tool and drill any part without defect
- Mentor and train less experienced employees
- Ability to see overall picture and alternative approaches
- Ability to problem solve without supervision
- Expert with Detool or Oven/Autoclave process
- Involved in RCCA activities and one point lessons
- Involved in new developments for their functional responsibility.
- Prepare and load prepreg lay up parts in the oven, program DAQVIEW and oven
- Develops, enforces and adheres to 6S standards (Sort, Straighten, Shine, Standardize, Sustain, and Safety).
- Wears proper protective equipment during appropriate job functions.
- Complies with all paperwork, such as work instructions, that govern job duties.
- Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Team Lead, Department Supervisor, Line Manager, or appropriate designee.

- High School Diploma or GED; or one to twelve months’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 2 years ODMP experience
- Minimum 2 months Cirrus experience or comparable composite work, or 10 years of manufacturing experience
- Proficient knowledge of hand and power tools
- Ability to read, analyze and interrupt blueprints, specs, technical drawings, procedures or regulations.
- Ability to write routine reports and procedures.
- Ability to communicate and respond to common questions from supervisors, leads, and co-workers.
- Leadership skills, ability to present complex information to management, giving feedback, etc.
- Attention to detail required. Must be able to work as part of a team. Ensures that all assigned work areas are kept clean, orderly, and presentable at all times.
- Basic computer skills
