Sr. CAD Designer - SD&E

Job Summary

Responsible for providing continuing design support across a broad spectrum of functional area systems for Cirrus aircraft production lines. The primary focus of the Designer is to support the production lines by investigating design solutions, having an eye for manufacturability, and understanding a broad scope of design issues. An engineering Designer is responsible for developing composite and metallic airframe, systems, and electrical designs and layouts. In this role, you will create models and detailed production drawings of components and assemblies using Creo Parametric. They need to be self-starting to dive in and work with multiple areas to find design solutions.

Duties And Responsibilities/Essential Functions

• Work directly with Engineering to complete design modifications, new designs, incorporate engineering change orders and release detailed drawing packages
• Create and revise solid models and detailed drawings of complex components and assemblies using Creo Parametric
• Manage, promote and release engineering data using Windchill PDMLink

Education And/or Experience

• Associate’s Degree in Computer Aided Design and Drafting or 4 years of comparable design/drafting work experience
• At least five years’ experience using Creo Parametric; experience using Creo Cabling may be beneficial
• Experience using Windchill PDMLink
• Experience using Windchill BOM Objects preferred
• Experience creating detailed design drawings of airframe structures, propulsion components and system components preferred
• Understanding of top-down modeling principles and practices
• Proficiency in geometric dimensioning and tolerance
• Ability to work effectively with others in a cross functional organization
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Effective interpersonal skills

Salary Range: From $63,680.00 USD to $95,520.00 USD
