Position Summary:
The Process Technician is responsible for overseeing day-to-day process performance on the Cirtec Medical production floor. The Process Technician will ensure process parameters are set to specified levels and maintained throughout each shift. The Process Technician will ensure processes yield conforming products and remain in control throughout the course of each shift. Additionally, Process Technicians will assist in process development and validation, as well as troubleshooting and corrective actions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for providing process engineering expertise directly to the flashless rubber molding manufacturing process. The process technician ensures the process and all equipment and tools used in the process enable machine operators to meet productivity and yield targets
- The process technician will work with Process Engineers to facilitate manufacturing efficiencies and continuous improvement
- Support and coordinate the development and implementation of molding processes and related quality/engineering activities on new and existing product development.
- Provides responsive support to the manufacturing operation during unexpected machine or process downtime events by troubleshooting machines and equipment.
- Maintain and communicate the general knowledge of material properties and flashless molding techniques across departmental functions
- Assist in the identification of new processes to support cost reductions, quality improvements, and statistically capable processes.
- Ensure all work instruction documentation is properly approved, correct & concise, and understandable
- Perform technical support to manufacturing, process engineering, automation, and maintenance team members
- Participate in continuous improvement efforts, corrective action formulation, and root-cause investigation
Must Have:
- Two year technical degree
- 3 years of practical experience in flash-less transfer molding and process development
- Ability to write detailed descriptive correspondence regarding molding processes. Ability to effectively present information in small and large group situations to manufacturing staff and customers/clients, as needed.
- Ability to perform basic and advanced mathematics using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals, standard units, and metric units. Utilization and understanding of statistics, geometry, and dimensional tolerances.
- Ability to troubleshoot problems and produce suggestions for corrections and improvements.
- Ability to use graphs, charts, statistical data, and various analytical tools to maximize process efficiencies.
- Functional knowledge of computer based systems and networks. Must be able to navigate and use standard Microsoft Office Software (Word, Excel, project, Access, and PowerPoint).
