The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for performing routine maintenance tasks, troubleshooting equipment issues, and ensuring all machinery and systems are in good working order. Essential Responsibilities
- Maintain plant mechanical equipment and systems to insure efficiency and minimal downtime.
- Install, troubleshoot, and repair production presses and associated equipment.
- Install, troubleshoot, and repair hydraulic systems and components.
- Install, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems and devices (Includes motors, lighting systems, plant electrical – 240V & 480V systems, HVAC, PLC Troubleshooting and programming.)
- Installation, troubleshooting, Preventative maintenance, cleaning and repair of plant machinery and equipment.
- Dismantle device to gain access to remove and replace defective parts and reassembly.
- Adjust functional parts of equipment to obtain optimal settings.
- Tasks range from fine adjustments that require dexterity for circuit board repair/adjustment to using both hands to apply pressure to break a pipe fitting or flange loose.
- Diagnoses and replaces faulty mechanical, electrical, and electronic components.
- Complies with company, quality and safety standards, policies, and procedures.
- Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, manuals, and written instructions as necessary to complete an assigned task.
- Pass a generalized maintenance test and have knowledge of Mechanics. Pneumatics, Hydraulics, and Electronics.
- Proficient in use of hand tools, power tools, and maintenance shop equipment. Examples of typical equipment would be a , grinder, drill press, pipe threader, band saw, etc.
- Use of Precision measuring instruments such as dial calipers, daily indicators, and various sizes of micrometers.
- Perform Millwright discipline. This includes alignment with dial indicators, install sheaves and belts, verify and set belt tension, etc.
- Perform Pipefitter discipline. This includes installing, modifying, and repairing piping conduit and instrument tubing runs.
- Team player
- High level of motivation and ability to work independently.
- Must be able to work 12 hour shifts 7 pm to 7 am or 7 am to 7 pm with rotating days.
- Graduate of a two-year technical / trade school or specialize in a technical skill. (Example: HVAC, Electrical, PLC’s, etc.)
- Ability to use a cutting torch and to bronze.
- Proficient in welding
- Proficient in operation of a lathe.
- Soldering capability.
- Certified Maintenance Reliability Technician
