Punch Press Operator II (Machinist II) - First Shift

Position Summary:

This position is primarily responsible for setting up and maintaining all set-ups on presses or CNC equipment. A Machinist II should be self-motivated and ensure the product is done on time and of the highest quality possible. Has excellent trouble shooting ability on both the machine and tooling and can assist the supervisor and/or lead person as well as the programmers with the operation of the department.

Key Responsibilities:

• Accurately completes all department paperwork including job travelers, Inspection documentation, work packet information, and tooling request forms
• Build quality parts using good working knowledge of blueprints
• Understands, embraces and follows Cirtec Medical workmanship specifications
• Change press machine tools, as needed
• Make adjustments to press machines & tooling as needed to ensure quality builds
• Regularly inspects parts according to process to ensure quality parts are being produced
• Interact effectively with engineering and quality individuals to solve problems
• Troubleshoot quality problems by effectively utilizing process controls and corrective actions
• Train co-workers (Machinist I), as needed
• Comply with Cirtec's quality and safety standards, policies, and procedures
• Other duties as assigned.

Must Have:

• High school diploma or G.E.D. Certificate.
• Minimum 2 years experience setting up and operating automatic mechanical punch presses and various other types of equipment
• Ability to perform a variety of moderate stamping, drawing and forming operations, which includes the use of compound, combination and some progressive dies
• Ability to setup a variety of tools (simple to complex) with minimal supervision
• Comprehension of geometric tolerances
• Ability to read, write and comprehend English
• Medical Device or component manufacturing experience, preferred

Shift: M-Th, 5:00AM to 3:30PM

Salary Range: $50,000 to $62,000/annual, based on experience and qualification
