About the Role:
The Billing Specialist plays a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of the billing process within the organization. This position is responsible for managing open order status, processing invoices, and helping ensure appropriate project costing. By meticulously managing billing operations, this role directly contributes to the financial health of the organization. Ultimately, the Billing Specialist ensures that all billing activities are conducted in compliance with company policies and industry regulations. This position will be located in New Orleans or Baton Rouge.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Proven experience in billing, accounts receivable, or a related field.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial documentation.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Associate's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.
- Experience with billing software and financial management systems. Experience with NetSuite is a plus.
- Knowledge of relevant regulations and compliance standards.
Responsibilities:
- Process invoices and reconcile accounts to ensure accuracy.
- Maintain detailed records of billing transactions and client communications.
- Collaborate with the finance team to resolve any billing discrepancies or issues.
