Summary
CIS Industries is hiring an Inside Sales Representative for our Harahan, LA location. The Inside Sales Representative advises customers on equipment and/or materials needed. Must be able to understand the refrigerant flow, electrical schematics, and operation of air conditioning, heating, and ventilation systems. They guide the customer by recommending what parts are required when servicing multiple brands. Prepare cost estimates through estimating software and convert them into sales when approved. Arrange delivery of goods.
Essential Duties:
- Ensure all required paperwork is accurately completed.
- Establish and maintain good customer relations.
- Manage multiple customer accounts daily.
- Maintain neat, clean and professional personal appearance.
- Coordinate with purchasing department any product shortage or outages.
- Ensure all administrative and accounting related procedures are strictly observed.
- Ensure all safety rules are strictly observed.
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor and management.
- Maintain and restock warehouse and store.
- Operate forklift and other equipment as required.
- Maintains the software estimating database including updating price lists, parts database and estimating kit.
- Provides periodic (monthly) updates to Sales Manager and Sales Team as to quota, sales forecast and vendor activity.
Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
- Extensive knowledge of heating, ventilating, and air conditioning systems, control systems, building automation, electrical systems, energy management, boilers, and installation procedures.
- Complete thorough and detailed work with accuracy and consistency.
- Ability to make decisions, dispose of problems, and complete thoroughly detailed work.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to interact with all levels of personnel to include department and project managers, engineers, sales personnel, and service and control technicians.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Willingness to accept responsibility and accountability.
- Must be able to operate in a drug-free workplace.
- Computer skills or some knowledge of computer order entry system.
- Ability to work independently and under some pressure to meet deadlines.
- Must be able to understand the refrigerant flow, electrical schematics, and operation of air conditioning, heating, and ventilation systems to be able to guide customer on parts required for multiple brands.
- Ability to routinely lift 25 - 50 lbs., and occasionally lift 51 - 80 lbs., frequent bending.
- Ability to perform work during prolonged standing up to 8 hours.
- Must be able to work overtime or long hours, when necessary.
- Must be able to work with a wide variety of people with different personalities and backgrounds.
Required Qualifications:
- College Degree, Tech School Degree, or High School Diploma
- HVAC Industry: 10 years Required and is a must
