Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage and grow assigned retail accounts, developing comprehensive account plans to drive sales growth
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders at retail partners to enhance collaboration and service quality
- Work closely with the Sales team and all internal departments (product, logistics, accounting) to ensure alignment and achieve company sales goals
- Navigate retailers' internal systems, from vendor account setup to inventory management, ensuring compliance with their processes
- Develop expertise in retailers' operations, processes, and requirements to facilitate effective account management
- Achieve sales targets and key performance indicators for assigned accounts through strategic planning and execution
- Manage all tasks involved in developing new and existing vendor accounts with retailers, including, but not limited to:
o Managing product samples
o Preparing and delivering presentations
o Developing quotations o Coordinating necessary documentation and certifications
o Managing new vendor account and item setup
- Contribute to sales and marketing events, such as trade shows and sales meetings, representing the company and its products effectively
- Conduct regular business reviews with retail partners and internal teams to assess performance and identify growth opportunities
- Identify and capitalize on opportunities for account expansion while providing market insights and competitive intelligence to inform company strategy
- Manage and resolve any issues or conflicts that arise with retail partners promptly and effectively
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, both overseas and domestic, on various projects to achieve the company's business objectives
- Contribute to various cross-functional projects and tasks as needed to support overall company goals and initiatives
Requirements:
- 3-5 years of experience in account management, preferably in retail or consumer goods
- Strong understanding of retail operations and vendor management systems
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with major US brick-and-mortar retailers
- Knowledge of e-commerce platforms and digital retail landscapes
- Familiarity with inventory management and supply chain processes
- Experience in a startup environment
