The role of a Graphic Designer (GD) is creative support and development of materials forone or more key clients. The GD will contribute to strategy and solutions and will workwith production designers and other staff to satisfy the needs of those clients. As a GD, your skills may be called upon to help with other projects and clients. You will work closely with the Creative Director and Art Director to manage workflow. GD will also work cooperatively with the Account Managers to assess and respond to the client’s needs.Together, with Art Directors, they must develop a priority and execution that support the working relationships with Cisneros staff and with client representatives. The GD shares responsibility for managing a client’s brand, contributing to the strategy of the brand and creating visual concepts in response to clients’ briefs and relaying them to the Art Director.
This work involves all media platforms, including print, digital, advertising and brand management. You will be called upon to help develop graphic and brand standards as needed. We encourage you to continue to develop learning and skills through coursework or from senior team members. The job demands the confidence to creatively assert ideas and the passion to sell ideas to peers and clients. The position is hands-on and very busy. It requires a proactive approach with a strong understanding of the visual medium.
This position will take direction from senior team members, assist in problem solving and be responsible for learning the parameters of client brand and project details as appropriate.
A Graphic Designer’s tasks will often include:
- An understanding of creative design and layout
- Strong skills with software such as InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator and Microsoft Office
- Generating original visual executions that are appropriate for the client
- Client interaction and presentations as needed
- Collaborate with team members to develop and expand creative concepts
- Working with the Art Director(s) and Account Managers to develop creative direction
- Staying abreast of new technology
Skills required
