Purpose:

As an Aircraft Master Scheduler at Citadel, you will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient and effective utilization of resources to meet the complex and high-demand requirements of VVIP aircraft maintenance, interior refurbishment and modification projects. You will be responsible for overseeing the capacity and resource planning processes to ensure that our projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest efficiency. This position requires exceptional organizational, analytical, and communication skills, as well as the ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

 

Essential Job Functions:

Collaborate with engineering, maintenance, purchasing and operations leaders, and other teams to optimize planning effectiveness, costs efficiencies, and timely aircraft delivery.

  • Capacity Planning: Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of the company's operational capacity, including facilities, equipment, and manpower. Collaborate with department heads to assess current and future capacity needs based on upcoming projects, client requirements, and business objectives.
  • Resource Allocation: Work closely with project managers, supply chain, aircraft managers, and other stakeholders to allocate resources, including manpower, materials, and equipment, in accordance with project schedules and priorities. Ensure that resources are effectively deployed to meet project timelines and quality standards.
  • Schedule Development: Create and manage detailed project schedules, considering various factors such as task dependencies, resource availability, lead times for materials, and client-specific requirements. Develop contingency plans and scenarios to address potential scheduling conflicts or resource shortages.
  • Performance Monitoring: Monitor project progress and resource utilization, identifying any deviations from the planned schedules and proactively addressing potential bottlenecks or constraints. Provide regular updates to management and project teams on schedule adherence and resource utilization.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to optimize scheduling processes, resource utilization, and overall operational efficiency. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement best practices and tools to improve scheduling accuracy and effectiveness.
  • Client Communication: Coordinate with the client representatives to communicate project timelines, schedule changes, and resource requirements. Proactively manage client expectations and address any concerns related to scheduling and resource allocation.
  • Risk Management: Anticipate and mitigate potential risks related to scheduling and resource planning, such as weather-related delays, supply chain disruptions, or unexpected changes in project scope. Develop risk mitigation strategies and contingency plans to ensure project continuity.

 

Minimum Qualifications or Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, engineering, aviation management, or a related field or a combination of experience and education/certifications. 
  • 3-5 years of industrial maintenance scheduling experience.

                

Preferred Qualifications or Experience:

  • Professional certifications in project management or operations management.
  • Experience in aircraft interior completions and refurbishment.

 

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • This position does not have any direct supervisory responsibilities. 

 

Knowledge, Skills, and Other Attributes:

  • Proven experience in a similar role within the aviation, aerospace, or high-end manufacturing industry, with a strong focus on capacity and resource planning.
  • Proficiency in project management software and scheduling tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, Primavera, or similar).
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and make informed decisions.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders. 
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills with a track record of working with high-performing teams and collaborating across functional areas.
  • Strong strategic thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate data into actionable business insights.
  • A passion for aviation and a deep understanding of the luxury and VIP segment within the industry.
  • Effective decision-making skills. 
  • Collaborative and teambuilding skills.
  • Experience working in, or managing relationships up, down and across all levels. 
  • Hands-on, able to work in a highly dynamic environment, managing multiple projects, last-minute requests, and tight deadlines.
