Job Overview
Citadel is currently seeking a Workplace banking Business Development officer. The Business Development officer is a self-starter, highly motivated, polished communicator that manages a designated retail territory. The primary responsibilities of this individual are to work closely with the retail offices, Business Banking and the office of Philanthropy, to maximize sales by bringing the Citadel brand to our local corporate partner clients. Retail offices within the territory will be supported by combined participation in events, sales calls and seminars. Essentially, Citadel’s Workplace banking Business Development Officer will grow households and balances by providing the Workplace Advantage program to our corporate partner clients.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide exemplary Citadel Class Service by applying the following principles: Accuracy, Convenience, Respect and Value.
- Accountable to achieve growth goals according to the annual Retail business plan, which includes the following: New Corporate Partner accounts, New Households, increases balances of assigned Corporate Partners.
- Work closely with the regional managers and branch managers to achieve the targeted growth for your sales territory.
- Create and execute a strategic Business Plan that supports the achievement of your assigned business goals.
- Offer our clients a H.R. Benefit by providing the Citadel’s “Workplace Banking” program.
- Maintain, build and nurture relationships with the HR representatives of our corporate partner clients, establishing a network of referral business for Citadel.
- Understand and address the individual needs of the employer through our products & services.
- Provide on-site support to clients in the form of seminars, benefit fairs and other events; Schedule follow up appointments after these on-site events.
- Target and cold-call CEO’s, SVP’s, VP’s and other key decision makers in an established corporate partner to originate new business by generating high value leads, thus enhancing the recognition of Citadel.
- Acquire new corporate partner accounts.
- Be a highly visible member in your territory. This includes participation in various Chambers, Rotary, Networking groups and Clubs. Presenting Citadel in a professional manner, thus further strengthening our brand.
- Keep all reporting structure up to date.
- Able to execute duties with minimal supervision.
- Perform other duties assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
- Business Development skills.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of work required.
- Microsoft Office required.
- Comprehensive communications skills required.
- Ability to close sales and generate a robust referral network.
- Valid driver’s license required
Performance Measurements
Performance is based on the Citadel corporate scorecard as well as departmental and individual goals.
Work Environment
This position will require travel and branches involvement, with most work done on a computer. Any necessary accommodations will be provided.
