What are the responsibilities and job description for the Psychiatric Rehabilitation Service Assistant position at Citadel Healthcare?
Warren Park Health & Living Center is seeking a Psychiatric Rehabilitation Service Assistant to join their team! The Psychiatric Rehabilitation Service Assistant is responsible for providing necessary intervention services to residents. These services include : personal care, individual and group psychosocial training and supportive social integration. At this facility, this is a collectively bargained position under the union.
Psychiatric Rehabilitation Service Assistant Duties and Responsibilities :
- Participates in new resident orientation, helping the resident become acclimated to the facility.
- Contributes to the completion of the MDS and overall assessment.
- Conducts individual and group psychosocial training and counseling sessions, including documenting progress.
- Contributes to the resident’s individual treatment plan.
- Participates in inspection and review of residents and their rooms, clothing and possessions to insure that each is well-groomed, in good hygiene and rooms, clothing and possessions are adequately and safely maintained.
- Documents problems / deficiencies following inspection.
- Assists residents going on community outings with dressing appropriately and arriving at the designated departure area at the scheduled time.
- Is available for residents who identify a need to talk and meet with a staff person for the purpose of self-expression and support.
- Works with manager to assist in the implementation of in-service training programs; contributes ideas for program policies and procedures; and assists in the evaluation of program outcomes and recommends program changes.
- Maintains current and accurate knowledge of the goals and programs relevant to residents in the facility.
- Leads group counseling sessions, as assigned, encouraging residents to participate.
- All other duties as assigned.
