Opportunity:
We are currently looking for a Solar Permit Coordinator to excel on our growing New Construction Solar Team!
The Solar Permit Coordinator is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely delivery of solar permits for our Homebuilder partners. Proactively exploring jurisdictional requirements, facilitating positive engagement with internal & external stakeholders, the Solar Permit Coordinator is an integral team member in driving the Solar Permit Team to operational success.
Responsibilities:
- Collect and prepare permit submittal documentation for new solar projects. Project types include solar, batteries, generators, and EV charging.
- Review, coordinate, and oversee the drop-off and pickup of permit packages. • Provide accurate and timely updates to necessary team members and departments.
- Organize and plan permit delivery routes effectively to maximize efficiency during the permitting process, while ensuring project timeliness.
- Provide updates on jurisdictional requirements and changes to the engineering design team.
- Efficiently manage check and credit card payments for the various building departments and provide payment receipts to accounting.
- Effective communication skills with City/County building officials to identify and understand permit submittal requirements.
- Ability to efficiently plan and organize work.
- Must be a self-starter, as well as goal and task-oriented.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Residential and Commercial general construction knowledge is preferred.
- 2 years of permitting experience.
- Process and personnel management experience required.
- Ability to work well with others in a collaborative team environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills required
- Regular, reliable and predictable attendance required
- Excellent customer service skills required
- Clean driving record.
- Must be able to successfully pass a pre-employment drug test and criminal background check • Strong working knowledge of MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.
