Job Overview
The Data Scientist is responsible for identifying and analyzing data regarding Citadel's members and prospective customers, making recommendations and providing insight to Citadel leadership in critical decision-making that drives attainment of strategic and business objectives, including growth and sales. The Data Scientist will design and create predictive modeling solutions to assist various departments in the planning, management and measurement of product development, customer service, sales and marketing. They will partner directly with the IT team responsible for building and developing data platforms. The Data Scientist will make appropriate data accessible and available for the organization and will be able to develop creative solutions to process large volumes of non-traditional data. They will be responsible for understanding and investigating state-of-the-art techniques in machine learning, predictive modeling, and advanced data analysis. Strong experience using a variety of data analysis methods, using a variety of data tools, with a proven ability to drive business results with data-based insight. Create descriptive, predictive, and prescriptive models and insights to drive impact across the organization.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Finance, Risk, Marketing, Retail, Product teams and other Citadel business leaders to determine and prioritize needs for predictive models.
- Analyze a particular use case and recommend an appropriate predictive model solution
- Mine and analyze data from company databases to drive optimization and improvement of product, channel, marketing techniques, and business strategies
- Use predictive modeling to increase and optimize customer experiences, revenue generation, data insights, and other business outcomes.
- Provide data insights to support the development of Use Cases - partner with the business to capture and document Business Requirements, Business Definitions, Data Definitions, Visual Requirements, and Test Scripts.
- Apply various analytic methods to discover and interpret information about customer and prospective customer behavior from multiple data sources, including Citadel's website, social media, customer account data, data from external partners, and other sources.
- Compile data from multiple data platforms and integrate data into actionable learnings.
- Participate in cross-functional teams
- Manage relationships with outside service providers and internal stakeholders for efficient and effective results.
