In this role, you will be responsible for developing and executing a strategic vision for Deposit and Loan products, for both consumer and commercial business, ensuring they are innovative, secure, and meet the evolving needs of our customers. You will oversee a talented team driving the creation and launch of new products, and continuous upgrade of existing products, that propel our organization forward in the competitive financial landscape.
Responsibilities
- Lead the development and execution of a comprehensive product strategy for all product offerings, encompassing all deposit account types and all loan account types, for both consumer and commercial clients.
- Conduct thorough market research, existing customer research and competitor analysis to identify customer needs and industry trends, informing product development roadmaps.
- Champion innovation by fostering a culture of creativity and collaboration within your team, bringing new ideas to life through effective product ideation and development processes.
- Manage the entire product lifecycle, from concept to launch and ongoing optimization.
- Collaborate on marketing and go-to-market strategies to ensure successful product launches and user adoption.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders across the organization, including retail operations, contact center, member experience, technology, marketing, sales, finance and analytics.
- Drive profitability through effective product management practices, focusing on maximizing revenue and minimizing costs. Drive ongoing product pricing, promotions / campaigns, and member experience enhancements.
- Assure compliance with regulations and with safe and sound business and banking practices, maintaining Citadel's best interest and that of its members. Lead efforts to identify and mitigate potential risks associated with products.
- Establish and manage budgets that support growth plans for each product and your department.
- Serve in the community as an ambassador of Citadel.
- 12 years of experience in product management or a related field, with a focus on financial services is preferred.
- Proven track record of successfully launching and managing banking products.
- Strong understanding of banking products and ecosystem, including various payment methods, networks, and regulations.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate, inspire, and build high-performing teams. Results focus for own and team's efforts. Continuous improvement of process controls, and efficiency. Agile mindset towards interactions with support functions. Ownership of related policies and procedures.
- Strategic vision with a deep understanding of customer needs and market trends.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and presentation skills.
- Data-driven approach to decision making with a focus on key metrics and KPIs.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Marketing, or a related field; an MBA is a plus.
- Strong influencing, problem solving, communication, strategic planning, analytical and collaborative skills. Making presentations to leadership, Board of Directors, and to all employees.
