Role and Responsibilities
The Fulfillment Associate plays a key role in ensuring the accurate, timely, and secure processing of customer orders and store transfers. This role involves coordinating with various departments, handling temperature-sensitive items, and using fulfillment software to ensure packages are properly labeled, packed, and shipped to maintain product quality and customer satisfaction.
Coordinate with warehouse and store departments to ensure timely receipt and processing of products for shipment.
Handle frozen items and shellfish with care to ensure proper packaging for shipment.
Accurately wrap and package items to guarantee safe delivery to customers.
Pack boxes with ice packs and filler materials to preserve freshness upon arrival.
Process shipments by weighing packages and printing and affixing shipping labels.
Manage store transfers for both pickup and delivery orders, maintaining clear communication with store managers for transparency.
Liaise with customer service to help ensure an optimal customer experience.
Identify and suggest improvements to enhance fulfillment efficiency and ease.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
Must be able to occasionally sit, stand, reach, lift, bend, kneel, stoop, climb, push, and pull items weighing between 20 to 75 pounds.
Requires manual dexterity, good visual skills, and the ability to follow detailed written and oral instructions.
Able to have an effective communication in English (spoken and written) Spanish is a plus.
Comfortable working in various temperature-controlled environments.
Maintain a clean and safe workspace, adhering to Citarella’s standards and Department of Agriculture (DOA) regulations.
Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays as business demands.
Proficient in basic Microsoft Office tools such as Excel and Word.
Experience with fulfillment tools such as ShipStation, UPS WorldShip, and FedEx software is a plus.
