Role Overview
At Citarella, our shipping and Receiving Associate performs daily delivery, daily warehouse stocking, order fulfillment, packaging, receiving, and shipment duties of multiple items which include but are not limited to supplies, groceries, frozen foods and many more. Conducts picking of orders, ensures accuracy of packaging products, and scans bar codes within the SAP system.
Role & Responsibilites
- Pack/unpack and consolidate all merchandise for warehouse and store deliveries and pick-ups
- Load and unload pallets from trucks
- Inspect and ensure product quality
- Examine shipments and report discrepancies appropriately
- Route items to appropriate departments
- Maintain loading dock area including presentation, cleanliness, maintenance
- Adhere to all health, safety, sanitation guidelines and procedures
- Other reasonably assigned duties/ tasks as per business need

Minimum Requirements:
- 1 year shipping or receiving experience preferred
- Bilingual Speaking (English/ Spanish Preferred)
- Experience with machinery such as Power jack, High-low Machine, Pickers and Hand trucks Preferred.
- Ability to work both independently as well as with a team
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work in safe manner in a high-volume, fast paced environment
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Excellent time management skills
- Ability to perform physical requirements of position including standing and walking for extended periods of time; working in refrigerated work areas as needed; kneeling, stooping, using stairs, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling loads of up to 100 pounds
- Ability to work within a temperature-controlled environment.
- Ability to read, write and communicate using English language sufficient to perform job functions, conduct business related mathematics and analyze data as required.
