Responsibilities:
- Performs pumping unit, well performance, and analysis to optimize equipment and maximize production.
- Conducts all operations in a safe manner and in compliance with all applicable rules and regulations of the regulatory agencies.
- Oversees battery and facility construction projects, drilling operations and completion workovers, and pulling jobs and remedial workovers as required.
- Makes repairs as required and oversees third-party services when necessary to utilize.
- Troubleshoots specific wells at the request of the Production Foreman, Production or Operation Engineer and Region Operations Manager. Makes recommendations to remedy problems.
- Knowledgeable in all aspects of pumping unit, rod, and downhole pump design and operations.
- Knowledgeable in well-performance analysis, in-flow performance,e, and productivity index calculations.
- Knowledgeable of all forms of artificial lift currently in use in his area of assignment. Supervises pulling jobs and remedial workovers as required.
- Evaluate and recommend solutions to recurring downhole problems.
Qualifications:
- High School education or G.E.D.
- Employment is contingent upon wearing all types of breathing air equipment and passing a pulmonary function test and a fit test.
- Successful completion of industry schools as scheduled by Citation.
- Successful completion of safety and regulatory training as scheduled by Citation.
Physical Requirements:
- Involves climbing up stairways 20 ft. in height while wearing a breathing apparatus.
- Ability to move in and out of trenches during line repairs, carrying tools, and wearing breathing air equipment. Lifting, pushing & pulling are required during the maintenance and repair of production equipment.
