Excavation Operator

Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Excavator Operator to join our team. As an Excavator Operator, you will be responsible for operating heavy equipment, such as excavators, loaders, and skid steers, to perform various construction and excavation tasks. This is a full-time position with opportunities for career growth and development. Previous equipment operating experience is required. Understanding and operation of grade rod, reading of plans and elevations is required.

Responsibilities:
- Operate excavators and other heavy equipment to perform excavation, grading, and earthmoving tasks
- Safely and efficiently operate equipment to dig foundations, load trucks, and move materials
- Perform routine maintenance on equipment to ensure proper functioning
- Follow project plans and specifications to complete tasks accurately and efficiently
- Adhere to all safety guidelines and regulations while operating equipment
- Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively to ensure smooth operations on the job site
- Maintain a clean and organized work area

Skills:
- Proven experience operating heavy equipment, specifically excavators, skid steers and loaders
- Familiarity with residential foundation excavation
- Experience with final grading a plus
- Ability to read and interpret construction plans and blueprints
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team

Pay: $22.00 - $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 55 per week
