The Human Resources Coordinator is essential for the Human Resources Department to provide effective, efficient, and timely customer service to the Lake Charles Manufacturing Complex internal and external customers. This role provides crucial support for recruiting, recognition, regulatory time-keeping requirements, reporting, and personnel efforts.
Additional Job Duties:
- Administer Salaried Absence Tracking Systems (SATS) for LCMC
- Administer and coordinate employee programs including service anniversary recognition, facility-wide service anniversary celebrations and photos, perfect attendance, Quarter Century Plus Club annual banquet, funeral flower orders, and other special initiatives
- Support recruiting efforts by preparing all candidate correspondence, coordinating campus recruiting events, scheduling interviews, preparing interview packets, initiating background checks
- Coordinates new employee orientation and maintains candidate files
- Support Labor Relations by scheduling union meetings, distributing union meeting minutes, maintaining disciplinary database, and dispositioning discipline letters
- Provide general administrative support for the department including creating purchase requisitions, maintaining personnel files, and assisting Legal with document requests
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred
- Four (4) years of administrative or customer service related experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and SAP experience required
- Refinery or chemical facility experience preferred
- Valid driver's license
Eligibility Requirements:
The Maritime Transportation Security Act requires all persons who will need unescorted access to a regulated facility to have a valid Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC), issued in accordance with the rules established by the United States Coast Guard and the Transportation Security Administration. Candidates selected for employment must meet eligibility criteria to obtain a TWIC card.
