Job Description:
CiTi BOCES is seeking an experienced English as a New Language (ENL) Teacher to join our team for the 2024-2025 school year. This role requires a highly qualified educator who can provide effective instruction in English language skills to students with diverse backgrounds and needs.
The ENL Teacher will be responsible for designing and implementing engaging lesson plans that cater to various proficiency levels, including listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills. They will also assess students' progress using appropriate assessment tools and develop individualized learning plans to ensure academic success.
- Develop and adapt curriculum materials to meet the specific needs of English Language Learners (ELLs)
- Implement differentiated teaching strategies to accommodate diverse needs and backgrounds
- Foster a culturally sensitive and inclusive learning environment
- Collaborate with classroom teachers, administrators, and support staff to ensure ELLs' academic and linguistic needs are met
