Maintain a Clean and Organized Workspace
">We are looking for a diligent Janitorial Worker to join our team at CiTi BOCES. As a member of our facilities staff, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean and organized workspace for our students, faculty, and staff.
Main Responsibilities:
- Perform routine cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming
- Dust and polish surfaces, including furniture and fixtures
- Empty waste baskets and collect recyclables
- Clear snow and ice from walkways
- Mow lawns and perform grounds-keeping tasks as assigned
- Deliver packages and messages
- Arrange chairs and tables for special events
- Repair minor issues with equipment and facilities
- Sanitize high-touch areas and clean bathrooms
Job Qualifications:
- Civil Service eligibility and a valid driver's license
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently
- Willingness to perform routine cleaning and manual tasks
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
