The Center for Instruction, Technology and Innovation (CiTi BOCES) is seeking New York State Certified Teachers to join the Synergy Virtual Tutoring Service team. This is a unique opportunity for individuals who are passionate about education and possess the flexibility to thrive in a dynamic virtual learning environment. As a virtual tutor, you will play a crucial role in delivering personalized one-to-one or small group live virtual tutoring sessions to students during the school day or after school.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct live virtual interactive tutoring sessions in a synchronous videoconferencing environment
- Adapt teaching methods to suit a virtual learning environment
- Engage students in meaningful learning experiences
- Track student progress and communicate effectively with students, guardians, and school districts
- Foster a positive and engaging learning environment in a virtual community

Job Qualifications
- New York State Teaching Certificate
- Availability between 7:15am – 3pm (number of hours/days are flexible)
- Instructional technology skills and familiarity with virtual learning platforms
- Ability to think fluidly in a virtual work environment
- Creativity and innovation in teaching approaches
- Strong collaboration and communication skills
- Dual certification in relevant subject areas is a plus
