Citibank, N.A. seeks an Applications Support Senior Analyst for its Irving, Texas location.
Duties: Provide level three escalation support, working with support team, users and development team to triage and resolve production issues with Big Data applications. Work with development teams to support infrastructure needs for smooth application deployment and operation. Advise on technologies that include Big Data (Cloudera and Spark), Java, Oracle, Webservices, Angular and Unix. Respond to infrastructure related queries and incidents to minimize downtime and impact to services by using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) to eliminate manual intervention. Resolve major production issues so end to end processing is able to meet required service level agreements. Work with development team to ensure fixes required for breaks are properly addressed and released to production through Software Development Life Cycle process. Work with development team to address weaknesses in daily processes and procedures. Translate business requirements into functional specifications to log into Jira and ensure the development team understands the requirements. Work with clients and testing teams to provide analysis of business requirements and application functional expertise to support UAT. Provide timely updates to stakeholders. Support UAT of Sprint releases and liaise between development team and users to resolve testing issues. Review operational processes to identify risks and inefficiencies and resolve manual touchpoints and provide automation solutions. Leverage understanding of business workflows to identify gaps and provide solutions with minimal deviation. Coordinate, raise tickets and track issues with support teams to troubleshoot technical issues reported by users. Participate in requirement gathering meetings, conduct scrutiny, receive and issue clarifications and review business documents. Lead code review sessions for Agile development and Sprint cycles, provide guidance to ensure defect free code is promoted for production releases. Analyze system performance and recommend improvements to enhance performance and reliability. Ensure infrastructure security by implementing best practices and staying up to date with security trends and vulnerabilities. Create and maintain detailed documentation of infrastructure configurations, processes, and procedures. A telecommuting/hybrid work schedule may be permitted within a commutable distance from the worksite, in accordance with Citi policies and protocols.
Requirements: Requires at least a Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering (any) or related field and 3 years of experience as Technology Lead, Systems Engineer, IT Business Senior Analyst, Applications Development Senior Programmer Analyst or related position involving Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and automating manual touch points of applications. 3 years of experience must include: Java programming for application development and to investigate and triage production issues; Oracle and SQL to analyze production issues involving application data and databases; Unix Scripting and Unix Command to investigate file movement and application configuration/setup issues; Angular coding for UI development; Procuring infrastructure components including Storage (NAS/SAN), Virtual Machines; Requirements analysis and implementation; Object Oriented Design/Development (OOD), Object Oriented Analysis and Design (OOAD) and MVC design pattern to implement Spring Boot Microservices including persistence layer using Hibernate; Agile Development Environment including Test-Driven Development and Scrum; Jira to validate requirements and implement stories; and Maintaining a knowledge base using Confluence. At least 2 years of experience must include: Analyzing Hadoop and Hive big data components using Cloudera; evaluating Spark application logs to resolve issues; Using Impala to query data from Hadoop distributed file system to handle user data for investigation and transfer protocols; Application software and package installations that include Tableau, Authentication tool (CyberArk), and RLM Agent (Jenkins and CICD pipeline); Handling services and pods in Red-Hat OpenShift ECS using Docker container and CI/CD pipelines for system reliability and availability; and Creating monitoring dashboards using Grafana, App Dynamics, Splunk and Kibana.
