What are the responsibilities and job description for the Cash and Trade Proc Representative (Resident) position at Citi?
Business Overview:
The Public Sector Lockbox business is a multi-shift, 363 days-per-year operational unit which provides a variety of services to government clients to assist them in managing their receivables and sensitive documents. The core functions of this business include Mailroom, Batching, Scanning, Dispatch and Data Entry. Most functions occur in a POD or small team environment. A successful candidate must be able to work weekends/holidays, additional hours as required and successfully complete the government-required background check. The duties and responsibilities described are not a comprehensive list and additional tasks may be assigned as necessitated by business demands.
Responsibilities:
- Facilitate new hire and cross functional education as needed utilizing effective training methods and Citi-approved tools and materials.
- Accountable for increasing the overall performance of the new hire contractors to meet established new hire standards for productivity and quality.
- Conduct quality control reviews and provide immediate feedback.
- Actively participate in all training and development initiatives.
- Professionally provide feedback and guidance to other processors related to the quality/productivity output of their work.
- Extensive knowledge of core functions for Public Sector Lockbox. Proficient in all functions (mail receipt, document assembly, image capture, data entry and outbound shipping preparation, etc.).
- As a critical member of the operations team, accountable for maintaining quality and productivity efficiency
- Demonstrate high level of focus and attention to detail, ensuring strong quality and minimizing rework
- Readily adapts to changes in deadlines and changes in daily work assignments
- Accepts feedback in a constructive manner
- High empathy skills and understanding of effective teaching methodologies and the willingness to keep abreast of new techniques in teaching. Expected to escalate observed issues timely and appropriately
- Proactively identify and help implement process improvements yielding increased productivity and efficiency for the operation, and training.
- Professionally interact and positively collaborate with team members, peers and managers across shifts and sites to ensure client timelines and quality requirements are met and effective training methods are utilized.
- Operate within a highly regulated, high security environment; adhere to all departmental and corporate policies and procedures, dress code, client requirements and compliance guidelines
- Actively engage in cross-site, cross-shift committees and initiatives
- Actively contribute to a positive team environment and culture
- Embrace change and support business directives

- Support termination process when needed
- Other duties, including higher level tasks, to support the business as needed
2nd Shift Monday - Friday 3:00pm - 11:30pm
Qualifications:
Required
- Minimum 1 – 2 years’ experience training or education preferred
- Understanding of effective teaching methodologies and tools.
- Willingness to keep abreast of new techniques in training.
- Professional communication, presentation and public speaking skills.
- Critical thinking and decision making
- Demonstrated history of strong interpersonal skills and positive peer engagement experience in a diverse environment
- Flexible and adaptable, able to multi-task and prioritize in a high paced processing environment with strict deadlines and service levels
- Demonstrated history of working well within a team environment, working towards a common goal requiring respectful communication and teamwork
- Excellent attention to detail, targeting straight-through-processing
- Intermediate PC Proficiency; including MS Office and Lockbox Applications
- Prior Lockbox, payment processing, banking experience or operations experience preferred
- Previous audit and/or quality control experience preferred
- Self-motivated, goal oriented with strong time management skills
- Able to work a flexible schedule to accommodate weekends/holidays and additional hours as required
- Able to meet the physical demands of the job, lifting up to 25 pounds, performing repetitive bending and lifting related tasks as well as walking and standing for long periods of time
- Manual dexterity required, all tasks can be repetitive in nature
- U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Residency (green card) is a prerequisite for this position
- Must be able to speak/write/understand English
- Must pass an extensive background check including criminal, credit and drug (renewed every 5 years)
- High School diploma or GED
