Citibank, N.A. seeks a Credit Portfolio Officer for its Wilmington, DE location.
Duties: Work on Pricing Analytics for Branded Cards Existing Customer Management (ECM) customer base. Develop new account strategy and non-scoring models. Visualize and execute on an integrated approach for the ECM customer base by studying the P&L dynamics of combining one or more of these ECM actions. Analyze credit risk and provide credit recommendations and guidance to senior risk managers. Perform statistically driven underwriting and risk analyses using advanced analytical techniques to develop acquisitions underwriting strategies. Leverage external credit bureaus & internal Citi data to develop analytical solutions and perform statistical analyses and other advanced segmentation techniques to identify relationships and trends in data. Perform analytics on large datasets using SAS and Teradata and leverage decision tree analysis to perform risk and financial analyses. Develop customer level P&L to optimize strategies. Identify trends and conduct data driven root-cause-analysis using SAS and SQL to isolate key performance drivers. Develop and execute experimental test designs, sampling techniques, and analytical methods to identify underserved segments within risk appetite framework while balancing business risk and return. Coordinate and interact with a diverse range of stakeholders: Independent Risk, Business Partners, Business Development Team, Partner Risk Management Teams. Produce credit and exposure analyses to ensure aggregate risk exposure to customers remains appropriate to credit standing. A telecommuting/hybrid work schedule may be permitted within a commutable distance from the worksite, in accordance with Citi policies and protocols.
Requirements: Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Business Administration, Finance, Mathematics, Electronic Engineering, or a related field, and four (4) years of experience in the job offered, or in a related occupation in the financial services industry. Four (4) years of experience, or two (2) years in the alternative with a Master’s degree, must include: Supporting segmentation projects in order to reduce credit risk and working on data analysis including building decision tree models, tuning the models to increase accuracy, and model validation using SQL and Database Management; Assessing opportunities to optimize Credit Management policies to protect the portfolio against credit losses and increase the customer engagement using ECM actions using Financial Analysis, Profit & Loss (P&L) Development and Optimization; Designing credit tests using statistical techniques including design of experiments to identify credit underwriting opportunities and identify the best underwriting strategies by customer segments using Statistical Test Design and Optimization; Creating reporting using business intelligence tools including Tableau to monitor acquisition & portfolio performance, key policy changes and derive relevant insights for the leadership team; Analyzing portfolio performance on a granular segment level and identifying trends and conducting data driven root-cause-analysis using SAS to isolate key performance drivers; and Evaluating, implementing and monitoring analytic tools including statistical models in the underwriting and line management process.
