What are the responsibilities and job description for the Wealth Associate position at Citi?
The Wealth Associate is a development/ professional role. The role will be part of Citi’s Wealth Team dedicated towards the sales and service of US Consumer Wealth Management Affluent and HNW clients.
Responsibilities:
- The Wealth Associate will be responsible for providing a remarkable client experience and deepening relationships of Citi’s Affluent and HNW clients. The Associate will utilize a team-based approach to provide potential solutions to a client’s complex financial needs working closely with Wealth Advisor and Wealth Relationship Manager.
- Ensure that KYC/AML and other compliance norms are strictly adhered to. Perform necessary client outreach to gather any KYC related requirements
- Ensure coverage of all relationships through customer engagements, risk profiling and planning
- Acquire new Affluent/HNW customers through converting referral leads working with Branch and Marketing
- Provide all servicing to Citigold and CPC Clients on banking and investments
- Conduct banking discussions with clients to understand client needs; clearly create, communicate, and execute solutions
- Identify new business, build and deepen relationships to gain incremental wallet share, and cross sell opportunities within the assigned portfolio
- Ensure productivity, service and client satisfaction indicators are above the minimum defined standard
- Ensure client’s documentation and information is up to date and complete according to the regulatory requirements. Follow up on documentary exceptions until they are regularized.
- Ensure full accomplishment of all risk, compliance and control policies and procedures for the assigned portfolio and the unit (i.e. KYCs, AML alerts)
- Build and maintain relationships with client base, be familiar with target clients for various investment products and offerings
- Manage high call volume, screen and prioritize phone calls, take initiative with client inquiries
- Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency
Qualifications:
- 0-2 years relevant sales and service experience preferably in financial services
- Positive spirit, energetic and enthusiastic Experience financial services with a strong knowledge of banking and credit products
- Ability to establish relationships and partner effectively with other departments or businesses within Citi including sales
- Knowledge of Citi’s products and services including features and benefits of product packages, fee structures, etc.
- Knowledge and understanding of global, regional and local sales and service end-to-end processes including policies and procedures

- Bachelor's/University degree or equivalent experience
