Sales Engagement Strategy & Internal Marketing Communications Specialist is a marketing professional who will develop, create and execute on a Sales Engagement Strategy and Internal Communications plan to support Citi's Branch-based promotional campaigns using a multi-channel approach. This professional will be a member of the Branch Marketing team within the U.S. Consumer Marketing organization that is responsible for the strategy and execution of merchandising, collateral, and branch sales support for the Retail business. This colleague will play a critical role in the creation and execution of internal communication plans that promote banker education of programs/offers and prepare them for the campaign sales process. This colleague will work closely with the Sales organization, and will partner with program managers on communications. Developed communication and diplomacy skills are required in order to guide, influence and convince others, in particular colleagues in other areas. The ideal candidate would have good analytical skills in order to filter, prioritize, and validate potentially complex and dynamic material from multiple sources. Regularly assumes informal/formal leadership role within teams. Significant impact in terms of project size, geography, etc. by influencing decisions through advice, counsel and/or facilitating services to others in area of specialization. Work and performance of all teams in the area are directly affected by the performance of the individual.
- Collaborate with business and sales partners to develop communications and activities that drive growth and greater customer engagement.
- Create engaging, activity driven communications by reaching out to internal groups for content, and creating own content around key business gaps and drivers.
- Partner with Sales Execution, Branch communications, and Marketing teams to identify opportunities for branch education and engagement.
- Manage multiple aspects of the internal marketing resource center site, which could include writing, reviewing, and verifying marketing copy and content, aligning with internal sales and marketing training guides and marketing terms and conditions.
- Manage external vendor relationship(s), adhering to Citi policies for Business Activity Owner (BAO) responsibilities.
- Engage in implementing test strategies, developing campaign schedules, BAU auditing, and applying critical thinking to identify and mitigate potential issues.
- Identify and manage issues to resolution.
- Manage internal legal and creative reviews and approvals for marketing campaigns.
- Follow Citi and departmental policies and procedures, adhering to internal activity, risk, control, and monitoring processes to ensure proper marketing procedure guidelines are met in all programs and activities.
- Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of experience in marketing or sales within the retail bank/financial services industry.
- Requires attention to detail, excellent project management skills, communication and problem-solving skills, with a demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks/projects at once.
- Strong writing and presentation skills are essential, with high level of proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint.
- Excellent communication skills with demonstrated ability to escalate issues and propose potential solutions.
- Creative problem solving and sense of ownership.
- Ability to work well under tight deadlines in a fast-paced and team-oriented environment.
- Capable of performing effectively and independently in complex situations with limited supervision.
Education:
- Bachelors/University degree or equivalent experience
