About Our Team :

The Chief Information Security Office (CISO) is home to deeply talented colleagues that work to ensure the safety of Citi's clients', our revenue, our employees and our proprietary data. We manage information security as one end-to end program – one with a clear mandate and accountability. Our mission is a program that is fully anchored to modern control and architectural frameworks, is fully aligned with the enterprise architecture of the firm and is deeply integrated into the sectors and functions.

The Cybersecurity Architect role is a dynamic and forward-thinking position at the forefront of our organization's digital security strategy. An average day in this role involves :

Analyzing and evaluating emerging technologies such as Generative AI, DLT / Blockchain, and Quantum Computing from a cybersecurity perspective.

Developing and implementing security architectures that incorporate these cutting-edge technologies.

Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure security measures are integrated into all aspects of our technological infrastructure.

Conducting risk assessments and providing expert guidance on mitigating potential security threats.

Responsibilities :

Support the implementation of the IS Training Plan, by verifying training participants completed the training and understand IS requirements

Coordinate with cross-functional Operations and Technology (O&T) counterparts and teams to improve O&T risk oversight

Provide recommendations on IS aspects of projects and assess / report Corrective Action Plans to improve IS programs and initiatives

Escalate significant risks to the Regional / Sector IS Leadership for information or required actions

Attend and participate in internal / external IS forums and risk committees when necessary

Improve processes, by removing deficiencies and enhancing current tools that reduce an overall risk profile

Ensure security practices / standards compliance and reduce security risks through enhancing controls and minimizing weaknesses in Citi’s applications portfolio

Ensure audits are passed with a satisfactory audit rating for all IS topics

Ensure non-compliant items are resolved through coordination with Business Manager and business staff

Support the Global Information Security (GIS) policies, standards, and initiatives development and implementation

Increase communication efficiency with cross-sector ISOs to resolve security issues that span multiple businesses

Has the ability to operate with a limited level of direct supervision.

Can exercise independence of judgement and autonomy.

Acts as SME to senior stakeholders and / or other team members.

Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.

Qualifications :

6 years of relevant experience

Demonstrated knowledge of GenAI , DLT / Blockchain , and Quantum Computing technologies and their potential applications in finance.

Experience in developing security protocols for one or more of these emerging technologies.

Certifications related to the security of emerging technologies are a plus.

A passion for continuous learning and adapting to rapidly evolving technological landscapes.

Proficient in interpreting and applying policies, standards and procedures

Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication

Proven influencing and relationship management skills

Proven analytical skills

Certifications related to the security of emerging technologies are a plus.

Additional Focus on Emerging Technologies :

The ideal candidate will also have a strong interest and, preferably, experience in securing emerging technologies. This aspect of the role will involve :

Staying abreast of developments in GenAI (Generative AI), DLT (Distributed Ledger Technology) / Blockchain, Quantum Computing, and other emerging technologies that may impact the financial sector.

Assessing potential security risks and vulnerabilities associated with the implementation of these technologies within Citi's infrastructure.

Developing and implementing security strategies and protocols specifically tailored to protect systems utilizing GenAI, DLT / Blockchain, and Quantum Computing.

Collaborating with innovation teams to ensure security is built into new technology initiatives from the ground up.

Conducting research and providing insights on how emerging technologies can be leveraged to enhance overall information security posture.

Participating in industry forums and conferences related to the security of emerging technologies in the financial sector.

Advising senior management on the potential impacts and security considerations of adopting new technologies.

Education :

Bachelor’s degree / University degree or equivalent experience

Master’s degree preferred
