The Head of Business Execution - Integrated Client Engagement, will report directly into the Head of Integrated Client Engagement (ICE) for Wealth. It will form part of the COO and ICE leadership team. Integrated Client Engagement is a new organization within Citi responsible for enhancing the partnership between Wealth and the broader Citi franchise, with a focus on Banking (Investment / Corporate / Commercial) and Markets, to deliver Citi products and services to our end clients across business divisions to drive incremental commercial opportunity. ICE also leads the market planning function across Citi Wealth.
The Head of Business Execution - Integrated Client Engagement will assist in managing the day-to-day aspects of the business, refining the strategy and value proposition, designing the optimal operating model and implementing a framework and governance model that drives business results successfully and consistently across all global regions. The Business Execution Head coordinates and manages activities such as the tracking of business financials, employee headcount, audits, business continuity, regulatory issues and other administrative needs / ad hoc projects as necessary. This role will manage a small team of professionals. They will also be responsible for end results, budgeting, planning, policy formulation and significant contribution to future strategy of the group. The role will reinforce and support management across the group function, with focus on fostering a culture of controls and accountability. The job is likely to be involved in both internal and external negotiations. The role will drive medium- to long-term plans and execute functional strategies requiring global coordination and integration across business divisions, primarily Banking and Markets. A solid conceptual / practical grounding and / or experience within Investment / Corporate / Commercial Banking / Markets is necessary in order to contribute to the commercial objectives of the business, as well as thorough understanding of the strategic direction of the function within both Citi Wealth and Banking / Markets.
Responsibilities :
- Execute against key priorities and strategy for the ICE business across multiple countries / jurisdictions and business divisions
- Ensure strategic goals that guide future growth and development of partnership activity are prioritized and translated into tactical business plans with mechanisms for key measurements in place to monitor progress
- Ensure stakeholder buy-in for strategic initiatives, including key stakeholders across business divisions including Banking and Markets and translate initiatives into execution plans
- Set goals for ICE and ensure tracking and measuring are in place for all initiatives
- In certain instances, responsible for client engagement to manage client experience and complex client situations
- Develops medium- to long-term plans and executes functional strategies requiring coordination and integration across units
- Lead business routines & program manage strategic initiatives
- Own resource allocation, productivity initiatives and realization of cost efficiency
- Drive culture and people initiatives
- Act as delegate for ICE head when required in certain meetings
- Oversee the design, enhancement, implementation, reporting, and oversight of budgets, financials, operations, human resources and compliance by way of systems, processes, workflows, procedures and the assessment of existing environments and anticipated changes
- Engage in cost management activities as appropriate
- Monitor strict adherence to governance and ensure risks are addressed, setting high standards of professionalism across all functions
- Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citi, its clients and assets
- Management responsibilities for a team, including management of people, budgeting and planning, performance evaluation, compensation, hiring, disciplinary actions, etc.
- Has authority to negotiate and make independent decisions on issues / activities that have critical impact or influence on ICE
- Develop business cases to drive strategic partnership across Banking / Markets Wealth that give Citi a competitive advantage with clients
- Routinely work with senior leaders across Banking / Markets to drive partnership activity and measure results
