Role Introduction / Overview :
The Finance Communications and Business Execution SVP, is responsible for management, coordination, tracking and communication of status across the Transformation program. This role sits within the Chief Operating Office for Finance Transformation team and will require the ability to comprehensively communicate overall program strategy, status and progress effectively with senior leadership including the Chief Operating Officer, Chief Finance Officer, Chief Executive Officer and Board of Directors. Background in Project Management combined with excellent communication skills are required in order to influence the wide range of audiences and effectively communicate complex messages. A proven track record of success in consulting and client focused environments is essential. As is, prior experience managing projects in Global Banking with specialized content knowledge.
Business / Team Overview :
The Finance Transformation Office in conjunction with the Function execution teams, is responsible for the successful delivery of complex regulatory and cross-business transformational Initiative(s) across the Finance function as part of Citi's Transformation.
Some of the key responsibilities in the role :
Own the end-to-end preparation of updates and status reporting, including for critical executive Transformation meetings and work closely the Head of Finance Transformation to devise innovative solutions to address pain points in regular processes and ad hoc requests. The scope of this includes, but is not limited to :
- developing a comprehensive knowledge of the overall program, drivers, risks and issues
- coordination of inputs from diverse stakeholders and effectively managing the editing process
- storyboard development including strategy recommendations to senior management
- effective challenge of updates to arrive at the right content
- development of executive briefings and speaker notes
- development of effective management reporting and dashboards
- partnering with counterparts across the function and broader organization to identify and adopt best practice
