AVP FINANCE ACCOUNTING SR. ANALYST (HYBRID)

Citi Private Bank (CPB) is currently seeking a technical focused Finance Accounting Senior Analyst in our Buffalo, NY office. This is a hybrid role with the associate reporting into the Buffalo, NY office 3 days a week.

The Finance Accounting Sr. Analyst is a seasoned professional role. In this role, you will apply in-depth disciplinary knowledge, contributing to the development of new techniques and the improvement of processes and work-flow for the area or function.

• Responsibilities :
• Supports the management and control data flows to and within Finance applications to ensure integrity and completeness of data.
• Prepare and record financial transactions for legal vehicle and regulatory reporting purposes
• Updating the general ledger, recording financial transactions, and preparing of consolidated financial statements.
• Specialized accounting, such as equity compensation, securitization, payroll and investment accounting.
• Manages one or more processes, reports, procedures or products, and considered analytical or procedural expert representing a unit or team on cross-function process or project deliverables.
• Take responsibility for the accurate reporting of accounting reconciliations on Citi reporting tools.
• Review and examine key controls for accounting process within the process handled.
• Regularly assumes informal / formal leadership role within teams.
• Resolves complex problems or transactions, where expertise is required to interpret policies, guidelines or processes.
• Identify and appropriately highlight / escalate potential issues relating to account with stakeholders.
• Qualifications :
• Strong technical knowledge
• Experience with database management preferred
• Strong analytical skills in order to filter, prioritize and validate potentially complex and dynamic material from multiple sources.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
• 3 years of experience in accounting or finance
• Education :
• Bachelors / University degree
