The AI / ML Model Risk Specialist within the GenAIAdoption Program will be a main contributor to a global & strategic initiative to support GenAI adoption at Citi. The role is a part of the Citi Innovation Labs at the CTO organization, which is focused on delivering cutting edge solutions across Citi’s businesses globally. The position is focused on representing our Data Scientists, Engineers, and Product Managers (Development Teams) in their engagements with Model Risk Management (MRM) validation group – From the initial engagement during the conception of AI solutions through their validation and periodical reviews. Solution types and use cases vary, and the person in this role will be required to work across teams that implement a variety of GenAI solutions that serve different groups and products within the bank. The role will also focus on owning the book of work of AI solutions and will serve as development teams’ center of knowledge.Responsibilities : Assist development teams with processing new AI solutions (including GenAI solutions and supervised & unsupervised learning models) from Identification through Validation, including materiality classifications, model exposure, model limitations, and scope of usagePropose usage of relevant platforms, models, and GenAI-related servicesWork with peers on streamlining adoption of GenAI, reducing overall friction in development teams’ successful production deployment Own and maintain, GenAI solution book of work for eligible GenAI use-casesDuring pre-identification phase of GenAI solutions, assist with preparations for internal discussions and initial submission to Model Risk Management (MRM), considering solution characteristics and potential challenges in the processAssist with resolving solution’s pre-validation comments from MRMOwn relationships with MRM - Communicate and coordinate with model risk validation group on validation group’s policy or procedural changes, recurring validation hold-ups or inefficiencies identified throughout the processMonitor and maintain GenAI solution inventory data and lifecycleEducate development teams on validation processOwn tracking and modeling tools Preferred Background : Master’s or advanced Degree in quantitative fields such as Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Financial Engineering, Quantitative Finance, Physics, etc.Experience with NLP or GenAI model development and validationKnowledge of Model Risk principals and hands-on experience with model validation in a financial institution – AdvantageExperience in a quantitative role in the Financial Markets / Banking / Insurance or experience in Risk capacity at a financial services / insurance institution – AdvantageStrong organizational and project management skillsRisk and Controls mindsetCFA Charterholder – Advantage Job Family Group : Technology Job Family : Data Analytics Time Type : Full time Primary Location : New York New York United States Primary Location Full Time Salary Range : $142,320.00 - $213,480.00In addition to salary, Citi’s offerings may also include, for eligible employees, discretionary and formulaic incentive and retention awards.
