Responsibilities:

  • Greets visitors, physicians, and patients in a friendly professional manner and directs them appropriately. Monitors and maintains proper daily practice flow to ensure an efficient patient experience. Informs patients of delay in physician schedules.
  • Assists the patient with the completion of the medical intake, uploads a copy of their insurance information and government-issued ID card. Responsible for patient check-in.
  • Updates patient information including demographics, insurance, HIPAA forms and financial forms. Accurately recording and collecting any payment and clearly explaining the financial obligations to the patient.
  • Creates and assembles both the paper and electronic medical record chart to store and upload all documents of the patient, ensuring that information is inputted and scanned properly.
  • Promptly answers and responds to telephone and office emails, screens telephone callers in a pleasant and professional manner; handles calls; takes messages or directs callers to the appropriate person or area.
  • Schedules appointments and follow up visits as needed according to specialty guidelines. Confirms future appointments as needed.
  • Maintain the waiting areas in a neat and tidy condition.
  • Performs any clerical duty and task that is requested of his or her assistant/manager to improve provider productivity, patient care, and efficient office flow.
  • May be responsible for chaperone duties during patient exams as needed.
  • Other duties as required.

Requirements:

  • Must be able to work evenings and weekends (as needed)
  • Minimum education of High School Diploma
  • Must have customer services experience
  • Basic understanding of medical terminology (preferred but not mandatory)
  • Experience working in medical setting (preferred but not mandatory)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
