What are the responsibilities and job description for the Employee Relations Specialist - Onboarding position at Citizen Advocates, Inc.?
The onboarding specialist works within the Human Resources (HR) Department to organize, streamline and oversee the onboarding process for new hires into Citizen Advocates. This role ensures that all personnel files within the HR Department are in compliance with federal and state laws as well as regulatory bodies that govern the organization.
Essential Functions (Job Duties):
- Contacting new hires with details about the company, including orientation information, policies, and procedures
- Gathering and filing all paperwork related to new hires, including background check information (as necessary), policy acknowledgement, and regulatory requirements
- Create and coordinate streamlined onboarding processes for all Citizen Advocates employees, physicians, and interns
- Determines personnel requirements by studying job descriptions, job qualifications, regulations and by working with hiring managers
- Ensure new employees understand and possess for proper documentation required for new hire assessments, are aware of their orientation schedule, and have completed all required onboarding tasks, new hire paperwork, and regulatory, policy & health compliance requirements to successfully meet their identified start date
- Communicate information regarding the candidates status in the onboarding process, with each hiring manager and communicate the new employees orientation and start date
- Manage the sign on and referral bonus program for all Citizen Advocates new hires
- Track and maintain pre-employment and annual health requirements compliance, including PPD
- Develop and complete follow-up audits to ensure compliance is achieved and maintained
- Support the HR team and HR Administrative Assistant as requested..

Required Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree, preferably in human resource management or related field or equivalent combination of education, training and experience is preferred.
- Experience working with applicant tracking system (ATS) and/or human resource information systems (HRIS).
