ORGANIZATIONAL UNIT: Health Services Department: Behavioral Health
SUPERVISOR: BH/SA Coordinator
FLSA: Exempt
SALARY RANGE: BOE
CPN Health Services personnel may be assigned to provide services to patients of all ages including but not limited to Indian Children and will require a criminal history background screening.
JOB SUMMARY: Clinical expectations will be modified based on applicants training and experience.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
· Group, family and individual therapy when indicated.
· Psychological testing and client evaluations.
· Support Behavioral Health and Substance abuse coordinator in treatment review process requirements.
· Monitor treatment planning of Behavioral Health client’s individual, couple, or group therapy.
· Monitor case records to ensure best practices are maintained.
· Crisis intervention and management.
· Attends court proceedings at the request of the Behavioral Health/Substance Abuse Coordinator.
· Represents Behavioral Health in supportive works with Educational Department.
· Provides community based behavioral health education through written articles and lecture.
· Provides supervision to intern and practicum students as assigned.
· Accesses, develops and implements in-service employee training programs.
· Provides guidance and support in the implementation of new treatment programs.
ADDITIONAL DUTIES:
· Perform other duties and projects as required by management.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
· Advanced in the administration, scoring and interpretation of
psychological tests, specifically objective, projective, and neuropsychological test batteries.
· Advanced verbal and written communication skills.
· Proficient in clinical interviewing techniques.
· Effectively manages group scheduling and design.
· Advanced clinical application in individual therapy and family counseling.
· Provides consultations, promotes integration of care between Behavioral and Medical Health services.
· Demonstrates commitment to learn and maintain a cultural awareness specific to client base served.
· Possess willingness to utilize knowledge of native culture in healing beliefs and practices in direct practice.
· Ability to work collaboratively with team members.
· Provide case presentation and work effectively as a multidisciplinary team member.
· Demonstrate commitment to utilizing culturally adapted and trauma informed evidence-based practices.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS FOR CONSIDERATION
· Minimum of a doctoral degree from the psychology department of an accredited educational institution.
· Oklahoma state licensure required.
· At least two years experience in the mental health field.
PHYSICAL REQUIRMENT
- Sitting and standing for prolonged periods of time.
- Repetitive computer work.
- Must possess a sound physical and emotional personality.
- Emotional demands are particularly heavy because of the personal and sensitive nature of the work.
- Performance of duties often involves stamina and alertness.
ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS
· High traffic office with sensitive issues.
· Working with patients with behavioral and substance abuse problems.
