ORGANIZATIONAL UNIT: Networking/Telecommunications
SUPERVISOR: Director of Networking/
Telecommunications
FLSA: Non-exempt
SALARY RANGE: $45,000 - $65,000

JOB SUMMARY:
Qualified candidates will be able to pull, drop and terminate Cat 6 Cat 5E and Cat 3. They should also be able to dress test and label cables in MDF and IDF closets as well as punch down cables to patch panels and 66 blocks. Experience in fiber optics a plus but not required. Must know color codes.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
· Terminate Cat 3 and Cat 5E Cat 6
· Pull various types of cable
· Punch down patch panels and 66 blocks
· Label and test cables
· Other duties as assigned
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Perform other duties and projects as required by management
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS FOR CONSIDERATION:
· Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community
· Must exhibit excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work with all levels of user expertise
· Must have the ability to follow specific instructions and processes and be able to insure details are implemented
· Must be professional in presentation and appearance during all customer contacts
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Ability to move up and down ladder for extended periods of time. Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Some bending and stretching.
